1999

An electrical failure caused a fire at Dippoly Plastics Limited, pushing the founders, Mr. Suresh Shah and his sons, to explore new opportunities.

They identified a gap in the market—poor quality bread.

2000

In May, DPL Festive baked its first loaf of bread with a commitment to high quality.

The company started with one small deck oven and a single delivery truck.

2009

To improve consistency, DPL Festive invested in a fully automated bread plant—transforming Kenya's bread industry.

2012

A second fully automated bread line was installed to meet growing demand.

2015

The company expanded further with the installation of Bread Line 3.

2018

DPL Festive diversified with a fully automated bun line, the first of its kind in East and Central Africa.

2019

Bread Line 4 was commissioned, increasing production capacity.

FSSC 22000 Food Safety Certification awarded to DPL Festive

2020

DPL Festive received FSSC 22000 certification, and we are the first industrial bakery in East Africa to be ISO Certified.

2021

Responding to health trends, FestiZero white bread was launched, the region's first zero sugar added bread.

The CLUB ZERO range was born with sugar-free wholemeal and seeded bread.
